South Boston Catholic Academy is a thriving and caring learning community. Parents and teachers communicate frequently and are an essential team in fostering student success. Many parents choose to join in classroom activities, participate in field trips, or serve as room volunteers. We offer students of South Boston and surrounding communities a top academic, spiritual and ethical foundation for success in an evolving world.
ALL students are offered an exciting and challenging curriculum based on the MA Common Core standards and high academic benchmarks consistent across all grade levels from Pre-K to Grade 6. The well-planned curriculum is organized into units of study that promote reading, writing, and critical thinking across all subject areas. Students not only receive a solid foundation in literacy and mathematics skills, but also are encouraged to develop their creative and analytical thinking abilities for lifelong learning. Experienced, supportive faculty along with small class sizes ensure all students receive personal attention in every classroom.
In addition, the school day offers a range of electives, including lively instruction in music, art, technology, library science and physical education.
After school programs such as drama and sports, as well as academic tutoring, are available so that all students can develop their own personal talents along with a strong educational foundation.
