The 2nd graders participated in a First Communion Retreat where they made the bread of Jesus’ body and the wine for his blood. We also weaved crosses and made flowers with special intentions or prayers on them! We used flour, salt and water to make the bread and used our hands to squish the grapes that eventually turned into juice! It was a fun time for all!
Thank you to all volunteers who helped on the day, who donated materials, and bought grapes! Thanks to Mrs. Cox for taking pictures! Stay tuned for First Communion pictures!
As we ended our unit on dinosaurs, the 2nd graders visited the Museum of Science and acted as paleontologists! They did a scavenger hunt to find things in the dinosaur exhibit! It was a great way to end an exciting topic!
Students did an OUTSTANDING job on their dinosaur reports and dioramas! I was so proud of them! They were also so proud and had fun doing them!
