Nick Rodriques

Learning Support Specialist

Nick​ ​comes​ ​to​ ​South​ ​Boston​ ​Catholic​ ​Academy​ ​with​ ​the​ ​bulk​ ​of​ ​his​ ​experience​ ​working with​ ​diverse​ ​learners​ ​with​ ​wide​ ​variety​ ​of​ ​cognitive,​ ​social,​ ​intellectual,​ ​behavioral,​ ​and learning​ ​disabilities.​ ​He​ ​completed​ ​his​ ​undergraduate​ ​studies​ ​at​ ​the​ ​University​ ​of​ ​New Haven​ ​in​ ​Connecticut,​ ​where​ ​he​ ​was​ ​also​ ​very​ ​involved​ ​in​ ​student​ ​government,​ ​service learning,​ ​and​ ​athletics.​ ​Nick​ ​began​ ​his​ ​work​ ​in​ ​education​ ​at​ ​Common​ ​Ground​ ​High School​ ​in​ ​New​ ​Haven.​ ​More​ ​recently,​ ​Nick​ ​worked​ ​in​ ​Brookline​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Ivy​ ​Street​ ​School as​ ​a​ ​Special​ ​Education​ ​classroom​ ​teacher.​ ​While​ ​working​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Ivy​ ​Street​ ​School,​ ​Nick attended​ ​The​ ​George​ ​Washington​ ​University​ ​on​ ​a​ ​teaching​ ​fellowship​ ​where​ ​he obtained​ ​his​ ​Masters​ ​degree​ ​in​ ​Education​ ​and​ ​Human​ ​Development.​ ​In​ ​the​ ​fall,​ ​Nick​ ​will be​ ​returning​ ​to​ ​school​ ​at​ ​Harvard​ ​where​ ​he​ ​will​ ​study​ ​Instructional​ ​Design​ ​and Technology.​ ​Outside​ ​of​ ​school,​ ​Nick​ ​volunteers​ ​with​ ​the​ ​Federation​ ​for​ ​Children​ ​with Special​ ​Needs​ ​as​ ​a​ ​Special​ ​Education​ ​Surrogate​ ​Parent​ ​and​ ​educational​ ​advocate
